about

The new song written between Christmas 2014 and March 2015.
Based on a phrase my 2-year-old son coined: "green that one blue", whilst we were drawing tractors etc...

lyrics

Draw me a line;
I will be your design.
Imagine my skin
and colour it in.
If it should fade,
mix me a different shade.
You'll understand
when you've got the brush in your hand

(Chorus:)
Green me blue. You are invited to
a private view, right into my heart.
Blue me green, the most beautiful I have seen.
If this is a dream, make me a work of art.

Pick up your pen;
make me look new again.
Take all the grey
and wash it away.
When you create
you can decide my fate.
Choose me a name
and I'll step out of the frame.

(Chorus)

If you get tired,
if you feel uninspired,
don't reach for the white,
don't paint me goodnight.
Enter the stage.
Put yourself on my page.
Together as one.
Together our colours will run.

(Chorus)

Picture the scene, and make me a work of art
